Our goal is to improve the world’s quality of life by creating and offering new treatments for conditions and issues that are currently unmet or under-treated. Are you interested in helping the Center for Clinical Research with new studies? Joining our clinical trials can help you make the world a better place.
Research is what makes or breaks a doctor’s ability to offer reliable, safe, and effective treatments. Treatments that are not heavily researched may be ineffective or unsafe. By creating treatments that are proven through research, we ensure that patients will have better results than ever before.
Do I Qualify For Clinical Trials?
It all depends on the clinical trial you are applying for. Each trial will have its own eligibility criteria that would be used to determine if you qualify for the trial of interest.
Potential participants may be pre-screened based on general information such as age, gender and weight however, to confirm your eligibility after you agree to be contacted for a given trial, you must be willing to attend the “screening” visit. This visit is important as the consent process must be completed before the study doctor and study personnel can perform a thorough eligibility evaluation to see if you qualify.
Joining a clinical trial is a selfless act that can benefit both you and future patients. Joining a trial means that you can:
Each research trial will differ in terms of length and intensity as well. Some visits will only have a couple of visits, while others may have regular visits over the course of months. Your doctor or staff member will explain how many visits you will be required to undertake, if you choose to participate in the study.
The New Jersey Clinical Research Center does everything possible to minimize risks patients have to undergo. However, this doesn’t mean that being in a research trial is 100% risk-free. Our center tests both new and current treatments, and not all treatments are fully understood.
The clinical trials that are advertised vary greatly from day to day. It’s good to check back regularly to determine if you’re qualified and interested in any of the research projects available to you or go to our open enrollment section of the website.
